Dhanush thanks fans for birthday wishes: Your affection has left me overwhelmed

Dhanush, who celebrated his 37th birthday on July 28, took to Twitter to pen a thank you note to his fans for showering love on him. He also added that he was overwhelmed seeing their affection and the welfare activities they have been doing as his fan. Dhanush said that he is extremely proud of his fans and thanked his colleagues, social activists, politicians and well-wishers who made his birthday extra special.

The Pattas actor shared his thank you note on his social media pages in Tamil and English. His tweet has received over 5,000 retweets and 25,000 likes. His fans took to the comments section to express their love.

He wrote, "I don't know how to thank my fans. Your affection has left me overwhelmed and at a loss for words! I have been seeing all your common DPs [display pictures], mashups, videos, the countdown designs you have been making for the past three months...It gave me such joy, entertainment and happiness. Thank you so, so, much (sic)."

On Dhanush's 37th birthday, the makers of Jagame Thandhiram released the first single Rakita Rakita from the film. Composed by Santosh Narayanan, the song sung by Dhanush has received over 3 million views on YouTube and is trending on top.
